Welcome to the official website of the inaugural Orlando Chess Open tournament! This is a charity tournament. TOURNAMENT INFO
On-site registration is at 9 am the day of the tournament (August 10). Registration closes at 9:35 a.m. The first round will begin at 10 am.
Tournament format: 5 rounds of 25-minute games with 5 seconds of delay
Chess sets are provided, but we are requesting players to bring their chess clocks if you have one.

Snacks and drinks will be available for a cash donation (credit cards not accepted so please bring cash).
Proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Florida's Levy-Hughes Clubhouse.
Entry Fees:
$40 Open USCF Rated Section
$30 Open Unrated Section
$25 Scholastic USCF Rated Section (K-12)

There will be trophies for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each section.
Because the scholastic rated section is so large, trophies will also be given to the top 3 finishers with a USCF rating below 800 who did not already finish in the overall top 3 for the scholastic rated section. Winners of these u800 trophies will not also win cash prizes.
